I'm Jennifer, a Los Angeles-based color designer, background painter, and plein air artist. 

 

I earned my B.A. in History at the University of Chicago, before pursuing my love for visual storytelling, color, and composition, studying from teachers such as Angela Sung, Marshall Vandruff, and Chris Oatley.

 

I am deeply passionate about using color and light to create the emotional heart of a story, and I spend as much of my free time as possible going outdoors to paint en plein air so that I can study color from nature and continue to expand my visual knowledge.

 

I am currently available for color design and background painting in TV or feature animation.
